ABOUT

There is no new thing created without deep personal change and deep personal change can inspire new things.” […] “As creative persons our hearts must also create while in “pain” and “tragedy”. The greater the healing challenge, the brighter the outpouring light.” […] “Art is good medicine.” — Kimberly

Kimberly’s break trough came over the years when the arts appeared to be the only powerful tool for her personal change and healing. Specifically when she had to overcome both physical and emotional pain Kimmie began earnestly putting colors in her life.

…accepting the challenge of the chaos of pain and turning it into a meaningful, creative experience…this is the basic assignment of life on earth. If we are too rigid in the pursuit of our own ego-driven idea, we kill the spirit of the moment. I let myself fall into a color or a shape or a line and follow its natural evolution. I try not to have a preconceived notion but act as observer to the natural course of the color and shape of the piece. I believe it is important to be open to discovery as this is the door through which inspiration slips in.” — Kimberly

After years of using the arts as a healing force in her own life, Kimmie now also teaches others (as a mentor) how to tap into the creative force which is within all of us, through classes and workshops such as: Walk on the Wild Side, Dream Collage, The Art of Pain Management for Patients, The Art of Pain Management for Practitioners, Healthy Living through Art, and Art of Mental Health.

The credits of her abundant creativity goes to the people and communities she had the opportunity to step into, going from the Great Plains to the Hawaiian Islands.

A life is not worth living without the arts so it is Live Alive finding your escape from the routine“. […] “It’s not important who did it, but what has been done!” — Kimberly ..Loves You!

SOME QUOTES

Everything she did creatively is tied to a “great purpose”..Wilson art is amazingly beautiful. Some artworks that people do to express their pain can make viewers uncomfortable. This isn’t so with Wilson’s work…Kimberly has done more than just accomplish something at the end of each day. Painting may have begun as pain management, but it grew into greater blessing for us all. Her spirit shines in her less than perfect body, it shines forth from each work of art. Out of the pieces left over, she has created beauty.

I commissioned Kim to do a piece for me for my home and she exceeded my every expectation. What a beauty. She is not only talented but also a delight to work with. I would not only recommend her work, but one of the most stellar human beings I know. I have referred her to some of my clients, which include some of the biggest names in Hollywood.
—Sabra Ricci (Celebrity Chef)

Her paintings are colorful and appear to glow with a translucent light from within
—Grand Forks Herald

Kimberly’s “Animated Abstracts” exude positive energy and exuberance.
—Renee Phillips (Manhattan Arts International)

I am also, personally an avid collector of her creative and fanciful work. Her paintings are magical and inspiring! Her creative style brings a sense of happiness to the eye of the beholder. She possesses a gifted and developed talent that is very rare in the watercolor world. I do not know of any other artist that works with watercolor, who can create, magical, and wonder, as she is capable of.
